Citizens Advice Bureau

We are delighted to have been awarded the opportunity to provide Project Management and Refurbishment Services to the Citizens Advice Bureau, Aberdeen.

We were delighted to have been approached by Citizens Advice Scotland to provide Design services, Project Tendering and Project Management of a proposed refurbishment of the Citizens Advice Bureau in the heart of Aberdeen’s city centre.

With the charitable nature of the organisation in mind, Providing services at the best possible value for money and keeping the project within budget was a key consideration for this project. Offering a reduced rate in Management fees, Tendering to multiple contractors, Space planning whilst retaining much of the existing furniture and ensuring effective time management of the project all proved vital in delivering this project.

Logistically this project promised to be difficult in manoeuvring around employees and minimising disruption to the day-to-day operations of the organisation, as well as the delivery and offloading of materials via the busy frontage of the building, which faces onto the busy main street of Aberdeen City Centre, and has limitations on delivery times between 6pm and 10am. The arrival Covid-19 pandemic made this more complex, with employees working from home the internal works were completed without any disruption, However, with the local authority decision to pedestrianize Union Street for social distancing purposes, The supply and offload of materials became a much more difficult undertaking. With frequent site visits and contractor management these issues were easily overcome.

If you think you could benefit from any of our services, or have a specific project in mind, please get in touch.
