Offering stunning panoramic views over Union Terrace Gardens and the city centre, The Terrace is an excellent spot to grab a coffee, drink, or a pre-theater meal in a bespoke and vibrant setting.

We are delighted to have been appointed as project managers to oversee and manage the refurbishment of the Terrace, at His Majesty’s Theater, on behalf of Aberdeen Performing Arts.

Involving the contractor tendering and management of the construction program, we were tasked with handling the on-site coordination of each phase of this construction. Starting with the removal of the existing box-office staircase and upper-level edge protection, the installation of new structural steelwork to allow for the new extended mezzanine to increase the upper floor space to allow for the refurbishment of the 1906 café.

The newly refurbished space offers visitors a comfortable space for pre-theater food & drinks in the restaurant and corporate bar area, and the renewed foyer & box office area is now re-opened to allow theatergoers a more spacious and comfortable space to buy tickets and socialize before shows.
